Cool

Hope your toe is okay, I nearly crapped as I thought your head had fallen off in the first picture!!

Send it to Rosso Corse to get repaired.

Good luck,

Yorkie

So sorry to hear about your mishap dude. We have all experienced that gut-wrenching feeling at one stage or another. It really is awful seeing a bike on its side.

It might be a cliché but what's important is coming through these things with no permanent physical damage. Best to laugh it off if possible...or share your misery with others ;-)

Live to ride another day!

That's unbelievable...and good to know you're ok!
I'll have to work double time on getting the video from Saturday to you now

Take your bike back to Rosso's and leave it with them, they'll take care of it for you.

If I remember correctly you have Woodcraft clip-ons, if you have any issues getting a spare tube let me know as I have a set laying about, the clamps on mine are 53mm but the tube will be the same.

I hope the toe is OK

I'm not 100% on this but I wouldn't have thought it mattered if you declared these mods if going through the driver at faults insurence. They will ask to see the damage, and you can show them. Your insurer might have beef if they have to pay but if you at not at fault then I wouldn't worry.

Really sorry to hear about this anyway mate. :-(

Sad to see the pic of your bike on the ground and the close-ups of the damage. You had some nice bling and mods done. Glad to hear you have no serious injuries.

As mintyhit said I also believe that if the other person is at fault then repairs should be done to return the bike to pre accident condition regardless of what bling you had fitted. The situation is different if an accident is your own fault as then the bike is repaired to standard condition except for known about mods or for any mods that are cheaper than returning to standard.

Thanks for all your kind words.

Toe ain't broke thankfully. I am just bruised all over.

Took it in to see Uncle Ray today. He says about 3 or 4 grand to fix it up.

the insurance man is going to look Friday so hopefully Ray will get the OK then and start on it.

This incident is making wonder if I want to ride the bike in to central London every day. Perhaps I should get a hack for day to day use. Or a big cannon on the front so I can shoot taxi's and other things out of my way.

3-4 grand, ouch that's harsh, I feel the same at the moment about biking in every day in London, looking into a hack, possibly even a vespa for the daily commute. Hope it gets sorted ok and you recover quickly.

Bumping an old thread....

Went to court today about all this.

AND I WON!

Not that I shouldn't have won as it was 100% not my fault.

The taxi driver lied, but then couldn't remember his own lies when he was being cross examined. The witness probably wasn't even there and couldn't remember what he was told to say.

The only thing that could have gone against me was i might have been speeding. 35 in a 30. But the judge said there was no evidence of it and from the photo's it looked like I wasn't anyway.

Now I am off to Anglesey to win some races!

Great news! My brother is about to embark on something similar soon. This gives me faith that he won't be screwed over.
