evo front pad recommendation

Hi guys

Just about to do a service on my evo and I'm tempted to swap the pads whilst I'm on with it. The current pads are only about 1000 miles old but the front brake could do with extra bite compared to my old 675 Daytona. What do people recommend? I had Brembo pads on the Triumph but can't remember what compound and the brakes on that where Nissin Radial and they were awesome.

Cheers Ryan

Just found the box in the garage and they were SC Brembo on the 675 so might just get them unless anyone has any experience on the Evo or other Monsters using that compound that might suggest not to buy them

Yeah I’ve just put sc Brembo on the evo. Not used tho so can’t comment on how good they are. But I had them on my streety and they were immense.

Happily they’re relatively cheap now as they’ve been superseded. The brembo pad line up is now really confusing.

Where did you get them from? I’ve seen them £28 a pair but for the 1100 hypermotard evo are they the same callipers anyone?

Mines we’re £54 that was for two sets to do both L&R callipers. I’ll find the invoice.

Ahhhhhhhhh hold on. I bought the SA pads from dragomoto_bay. On eBay. Good road pad apparently…I previously had SC’s on the streety. Like I said product line up is confusing now.

Even more so if you look at the operating window graphs.

Both Flip and I have used SA pads - see here for details:

http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...3&postcount=87

Mine were £54 for two pairs (two years back) from Simon at WSC Performance https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/wscperformance

Email: simon@wscperformance.co.uk

A direct like-for-like OEM replacement would be the 07BB1935 pads.

The SA pads are 07BB19SA and are the same for both the Monster and Hypermotard 1100 Evo.

I wouldn't go for the SC compound (07BB19SC) for exclusive road use as they only give their best performance at high temperatures. Good for track days but I think the SA are better suited to everyday use.

Yeah dragomoto £54.50. I’ve ordered them. Thanks guys. The sc compound on the daytona were amazing once warm but sometimes if cold were a bit iffy. On the monster where the engine breaking is enough on most roads they’d have no heat at all. Thanks guys but the Brembo letters and descriptions are a little vague hence asking the question
