Carbon number plate holder

Third and final today ( there will be more to come )....this is another number plate holder, I cant tell if it was modified like yesterdays but its in a lot better condition. Its not a genuine Ducati part judging by the part number , comes with the 2 indicators from a panigale, I understand the part fits early Monsters but as always I would welcome advice from the knowledgeable on the forum

That looks very much like the one I've got on my 2000 M900Sie. The label seems to allude to an M900S '00 so that would match up. It should fit all models 2000 onwards till at least 2002 I would have thought.

The indicators are mounted in a non-standard position, they would normally go on the tea tray, but maybe this has been used with a tail tidy or summat?

Well, well.
Are those led indicators or the slightly larger bulb type ?
I had a number of discussions with Geoff about fitting the led indicators from later Ducatis to an early monster.
To that end I have in my possession three ex-panigale led indicators.
Its easy enough to fit them at the front but they are a mismatch to the std teatray at the back and it just looks wrong.
This looks like it ... might ... be a solution to that problem.
If so, and if this part will fit my yr2000 M750, it would be the absolutely most appropriate memento of Geoff imaginable, to have on my bike.
Can you post a few more pics, showing the fitment to the bike and the fitment and type of indicators used please.
If this can be made to fit my bike I am most definitely interested.

ps. Now that I look more closely and judging from the lack of an orange glow from the bulbs, I'm guessing that these are in fact the led indicators.
I posted the first bit rather hurriedly.

pps. ....and on re-reading, you do state that they are panigale indicators.
I got all excited and posted very hurriedly.

Yeah, sorry but I went with the over-excitement partly because I thought it might be entertaining.
ie, only partly because I did actually get all over excited and didn't want to get pipped at the post....
But absolutely no worries either way.
And ta.

I'm nearly as exited..

As far as I can see with the same info as you, I'm sure it will fit your bike Jeff.
It also appears to have a neat little custom number plate illuminator?

If Utopia decides against, I would be interested. Actually, I am only after the indicators if someone just wants the number plate holder.

I'm going for the 'anorak of the month' award here but, hopefully, this information will be of use to you, Mike.

From memory, I think ARL were one of the contractors that produced Ducati Performance carbon parts. Certainly, the part no. 09142 is a DP number before they went to the current eight digit plus letters format.

You're right about the fitment, Mike. This is for early Monsters up to and including 2001. The new part no. is 96911700B.

If you want an idea of value, there's currently an identical example (minus the indicators) in Italy on eBay for £76.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PARAFANGO...-/233113647232

Hope that helps.

Note to self: must get out more!)

Brilliant Vince, as always Sir ! The one top right is the one in the second post,I think we have established its the one Darren sold to Geoff, what I can't confirm from the photo is if it was modified. I suspect it is as Geoff will have had to fix the indicators to each side.

The part no 091 12 looks familiar, Chris has one fitted to his.

Yes Mike. I have a pair of Panigale LED indicators on the rear & I would like to match them up on the front. I think the Panigale front set are integrated with the mirrors from memory so it would have to be another rear set.

Sorry, I don't mean to steal your thread but thanks to Luddite I have just identified the rear plate/indicator unit that I was given when I bought my M900. It's a part no 091 12 as pictured above. It looks a bit peculiar in the hand but perhaps it looks better fitted. If anyone wants to make a fair offer for it please let me know . I'm not sure what a fair offer would be though so any input would be gratefully received.

Was this one of the tails that Geoff was making for Paul Smart Rep?
