Rearset compatibility - M796 / M1100

Hi All,

Hope everyone is well.

Does anyone know if aftermarket rearsets for a M796 will fit a M1100 (not Evo)?

Most I see seem to suggest they are the same but have seen a set on EBay listed specifically for a M796 and I wondered if they would fit my 1100.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Alan.

Thanks, that’s what I was thinking. I thought they were the same swingarm but wasn’t certain. Thanks for confirmation.

When I was looking around for rearsets for my Evo, I noted that both CNC Racing and Rizoma listed the same part no. for all models 696/796/1100/S/Evo, so you should be ok. I've also seen stock Evo footrests fitted to a 696, which suggests that the mounting points are the same across the range.

Having said that, the rearsets I chose, (MR Footrests from Germany), listed different sets for the 1100S and Evo and said that they weren't interchangeable so perhaps the 1100 and Evo are, in fact, different, despite the CNC and Rizoma listings.

Maybe as the 696 796 and 1100 and S share the same hanger the footrest is different to the angle. The 1100 evo has a separate pillion hanger so also a different brake gear lever hanger.

I have spider racing rearsets on my 1100 evo and I believe there was an option for the 1100/796 with pillion pegs when I ordered them. For more info if you contact Tom at Motorcycle Race Parts directly on sales@motorcycleraceparts.co.uk he can offer a discount to their website or ebay prices I think I saved about £90 by going direct and he said he would do the same for others in UKMOC. Great service from them and the rearsets are brilliant quality
