2019 last gasp run!

This is a countdown, with an eye very much on the weather forecast.

At the moment Sunday 29th is looking very promising and Monday 30th even more so.

Destination will be the Kingfisher Café at Walcott,.
Not sure whether to call it for 10am and make it a breakfast meet or wait till the Sun has had a chance to do a bit more good work and wait till Noon?

Any preferences?

The outlook has now reduced by a couple of degrees for both days, with Monday still the better day. Both graphs peak at Noon, so lunch time would be my favourite.

Forecast is getting drier and brighter, but slightly cooler for Sunday and Monday.

I'd still prefer a noon meet, just down to whether folks have a preference for Sunday or Monday?

I'll try and confirm this evening.

Can make Sunday or Monday, but I'm not going to take the blame for the weather so your choice

Time to nail this down!
Let's do it at Noon on Sunday.

Edited from Monday to Sunday... Sorry to keep moving the goal posts!

Okay emzedder, I'm keen for a catch up and to see your new MZ.

So let's do this on Sunday.

Just the ticket..

I cruised past Mr and Mrs Dacs abode on the off chance and timed it perfectly as they were just setting off. A lovely ride over to Walcott in a three ship, without getting too cold and on dry cleanish roads.. Couldn't have asked for more.

Quite busy at the Café, but we found a table and munched in the warm.. Thanks for the meal Dacs, my turn next.

emzedder made a stylish arrival on his amazing Black Douglas Sterling and popped in to the Café for a quick hello... What a busy fellow!

A smashing ride home with a bit more resilience to the cold, the Sun even came out to play, just to guild the lily.. Perfect.

Feast your eyes on the Black Douglas Sterling.. Questions from the floor welcome.
I think this is emzedder's actual bike, but might be a generic photo?

Picture was taken in Kent, my actual bike. Hand built in Milan one of intended 100 production run built to order, only 65 made and this last of the run in 2017. No plastic other than necessary, alloy fork tubes and castings, formed alloy tank and tool boxes, no chrome - nickel plating only. Chinese CG engine copy rebuilt in Italy before installation. Sadly company ended due to Euro4 compliance that made ongoing manufacture unviable.

I love it.

Sorry to have missed the ride out, although Walcott is a bit of a trek for me.
Have just returned from a week in Dorset, great biking roads, some dry mild days; no bike . Family gathering to celebrate my birthday.
Hope to get out for my first ride of the new year soon, hope the monsoons of last year have gone.
Happy New Year
Dave
