God bless ebay, looks like an early 851/888 example, but it won't give the clutch any protection though, if it falls on it will just shatter. But then the standard clutch is just trash anyway.

Darren having fell over a few times on track days , if you step off then you will need more than a new clutch

That's definitely a Cagiva era (or a copy) clutch cover judging by the font (Ducati aren't allowed to use it anymore)- I have the same style only I took a Dremmel to it to let the colour (and noise) flood oooot!

It was about eighteen years ago when I fitted it though.

As for your wobblies off the bumps when pressing on a bit- don't fit a damper they only mask the problems (Suzuki TL1000S springs to mind- no pun intended). Raise the rear of the bike a tad, get the suspension sorted properly, then enjoy the (relatively speaking on an S4 with FI and water cooling ) back to basics motorcycling without all the unnecessary rider modes and safety aides of watered down mediocre machinery or those in-place needed for mere mortals to protect themselves from near two hundred horse power rockets being ridden on our pot holed, traffic filled ribbons of tarmac this country likes to call roads.

Flip, i will be dropping the front forks through the yokes about 12mm to start, help it turn in a bit better. I am vertically challenged (Short arse) so jacking up the rear isn't a option, i dont fly around anymore only the odd spurt when my napper goes . It is still a very good handling bike just me being finnercii

go gently over speed bumps, you’ll find that front header is very close to the ground with the forks dropped

You only need to raise the rear ride height about 10-12mm, not sure what that will do to the overall seat height, but I can't imagine it would be much, and it's better than dropping the front forks imo. As someone else said there's not much ground clearance on that front pipe.

Ooh, looks expensive that! Very nice. Now you just need the DP clutch to match it
