April meet

well that was an unexpected challenge................ the A49 was closed at the Red Fox leading to a magical mystery tour but we had a good turn out today, good to see a posse of Monsters in the Lockgate Car Park once more.

Good to see Rob and Steve again, both bikes looking good too !

Plans coming to fruition now for may, so very worthwhile session , there will be quite a bit going on before the next monthly meet so watch this space, hope everyone got back safely, see you very soon.

So annoyed I didn't make it - bike cut out about a mile from home. Dash wouldn't come back on - headlight did. Pushed it home [which has done my back in]. Checked online and fuses were first on the list of checks - lo and behold a 10amp first one I checked was blown. Replaced and the dash fired up but not the bike. I was headed to the petrol station so though I'll stick some more fuel in even though the orange light hadn't come on [I knew it was low - deliberately left pretty empty over winter]. Soon as I did that all was good and she started first time.

It does make me wonder what happened - fuses usually only blow when something causes them to but why or even how would a lack of fuel do that - why was there no orange light. Is she just pissed off with me for not giving her enough attention during the winter months - she needs to remember she's had her exhausts ceramic coated, she got a new chain and sprockets, a few sprinklings of carbon, fresh oil, fluids and belts...

Great day so thanks to the other 4 for their company - half an hour in a hot shower got the chill out of the bones!

Just out of curiosity is anyone planning on a ride out tomorrow (22nd) to make the most of the weather and bank holiday? I may go for a morning potter.
