I've filled the form in and so has my good lady on her ER6F.
Please be aware they are very strict on noise levels at Castle Combe and they test your bike before allowing you on track. 105db is the limit.
I did a track day a couple of years ago when I had an XJR1300 with modified but still fairly quiet can and just got through and a couple of guys got turned away with standard un modified bikes, no refunds

Could have been on for that but have to go to a Superyacht regatta in Sardinia that weekend. It's a tough life...

Right folks, for those that would like to do the day, they currently have 90 spaces available. These are mainly morning spaces.
If you fill your own form out and send it off with a cheque, make sure you write on it "Please group with the other UKMOC riders", they will put us all together.
There will be about 20 Police bikes there on the day and each will take two riders out onto the road at a time for an hours ride, then you will do the track part of it.

I propose we put 10am approximately on each form

Please post on here once you have filled your form in and posted it.

Just for info and to wet your appetite.
All the South west dealers will be there including Riders, Bransons, Fowlers, Bath Rd Motorbikes, Bristol Kawasaki, Blade Honda, V & J Superbikes, Art Dean, Morses of Weston. Fast Bike Magazine will be there (See 7 page article in May 6th issue) along with Quay Garage and Tommy Bridewell. There will also be over 30 other trade stands and shows from Steve "Showman" Colley.
Hope I can get over as a spectator.

I can confirm that my form has been sent off as well now.

Castle Combe will check your bike for loudness beforehand if you take it there. They also have a list of 'naughty bikes' that they know will fail. These include all 1198's and most 1098 engined bikes! If you want your bike checked, Rob Jones is the man.

Nice one. Rally do they do that any day if you just drop by or do you have to book in for a test?

Only on days when they have circuit activity Bex, those being tomorrow, next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Max 105db (measured 1/2 metre from the exhaust outlet at 3/4 max revs) won't be easy for most Dukes so I'll be interested in the result of your noise test.

Mmm - it does sound like a plan. i will consider it. However Saturday is my birthday and I have a posh night out planned with lots of fine wine. I am not sure I want to get up early on Sunday.
And the EVO is really loud on standard cans - I am not sure it will pass noise testing.

The Evo does have a lovely exhaust note, but will pass for sure, so no worries there. It is on the Saturday Anne, not Sunday.
