It works so is getting power and signal, then its stealing everything from the igniter.
It might be that you need to just take the signal from the igniter box and the power from elsewhere, the usual wiring diagrams show power off of a switched source like the lighting fuse.

Yes, I would say that is what it looks like. I;m guessing in its normal application it would just be the signal from the ECU that were grounded not the ignition itself.

You probably need a resistor of some kind in line on the signal.

I acquired a carbon dash from america for speedo and rev counter, has anyone tried inserting a scitsu rev counter into one. I do want it to look good and not like something I've knocked up. It may be a case of going to warrington to see if the scitsu will fit without butchering the dash.....
Your probably right Darren, about the resistor. I got the clocks off flea bay and the were not major money. But I fancy a scitsu looks a no brainer now I've look into them and the cost of a ducati 600 rev counter.....

The carbon DP dashes are rare and the carbon is ok but the quality of the components inside isn't great so good luck if you can find one that works! Good for originality though and if you can update the electronics. You may find the resistor you need is included.

No clocks in it just the idiot lights and the carbon dash. was very close to buying a roadracing one but that fell through. But like you said either of these dash's are getting a little thin on the ground or at least appear to be. Ill use my original white dial speedo and hoping to use the white dial ducati scitsu rev counter, well that's the plan....
