M900 Under Seat Catch / Spike
I am looking for the part for my M900 seat.
It is the small metal part that clips the seat into the seat latch. I have looked on various parts lists but am struggling to correctly identify it. Thank you |

That’s the Mk 1 seat latch Patrick. Around 2000 they changed to a retention spike, but the attachments to the seat base were unchanged, so they are interchangeable if you want to fit a later fuel tank and seat to an earlier frame.

Is that what yours is then James (a later seat/tank), because the loop type rather than the spike is whats shown for a 97 M900

I brought an old/new seat that I am having recovered but it doesn't have the latch.
I thought it would be about £5 to get one but they look more like £30 so I may just swap it over... |

I made a second one out of plate and a 4" nail bent over welded by my good friend big oz and had plated in a batch. Not hard to replicate at all.

I made a pin for someone on here’s F3 a few years ago, the only way you could get a new pin from MV was with the whole seat attached.
