Clutch lever hard

Recently fitted the EVR basket and plates, now when I do the spring bolts up anywhere near enough the clutch lever is rock hard. Tried 4 springs and taking out a plate but to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this? They are Oberon springs and bolts if that makes a difference.

Do you mean hard as in a firmer feel or do you mean it doesn’t operate properly?

Is the ‘stack height’ of the plates correct?

I know there are two different depths of the spring caps- are you sure you have the correct set for your bike?

Sorted now, seems to have been a blockage.

Removed plates to clean, reinstalled them exactly the same way they came out. Now when i torque the spring bolts the lever is rock hard again? Bled the clutch but no difference, the only way to get it to move is by loosening the springs.

Was gonna try fitting the Oberon slave cylinder today but the bolt on the banjo has been minced!

I’ve experienced this, it’s sometimes possible to misallign the pressure plate slightly, so it catches on the edge of the basket.

Yeah I think that’s what it was, removed again replaced and now it’s working again. Thanks
