Just my opinion, but I think coloured hoses almost always look a bit naff.
I'd stick with black .... why make a feature of something inconsequential ? |

You can make a feature of some mundane parts, coloured hoses are not the way I'd do it though. One of the things I'm considering on my bikes is to sheathe the crankcase beather hose in stainless braid, keeps the functionality unchanged, shouldn't look too out of place or tacky I'm thinking, I guess I'll find out when I get round to it but the point is there's usually more than one way of improving looks other than what previous owners may have done.

Did some bits today.
I prepped the clutch case a bit more, cutting another two supports off the case (just to make it a little more open): Not bad for a handsaw and a couple of files. Yorkie

Mocked up the adjusted case on the engine and with the alloy basket it looks quite good. I am still going to give it a nice gold powder coating I think:

Slow day yesterday, just a little bit of messing about.
I tidied up the rear suspension rocker, de-seamed it and polished it up a bit: Chopped up the standard front mudguard to make it look a bit better. I smoothed off the flash as well: Yorkie

It is an 851, and was for sale until about a week ago. It is now owned by Mark at MADASL, he might even hire it out for track days next year.

Just bought some silicone hoses for the ST2 engine, most were quite expensive then I found these from AS3 Performance:
http://www.as3performance.co.uk/duca...tor-hoses-red/ All I need now are the right size alloy finishers: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8-AN8-17mm...item3f1dd32205 Yorkie

Those hoses look quite reasonable. I know Samco ones are nearly double that, but you do get all stainless jubilee clips included. Do you need the end caps? Mine just clamp over the spigots with the jubilee clips.
