I think you need a bit more preload on the rear shock. Or even better a rear shock with an extra 10mm on it’s length.

Yes I was thinking that too. It’s fine on the road and handles superbly, but a little limiting on the track.

Also; does anybody know the part no for the exhaust section that includes the valve? I’ll get one of them on order at some point to replace the ‘battle worn’ one..…I know QD do one but rather expensive.

Also has anybody done knockhill and if so was it timed/what times did you do?

I was timed, and I’m no sure about the accuracy, reluctant to say what my time was because to me it seems rather low.

The part number for the pipe section is 57211601A, Ron. Also, if you need to replace the fasteners for the exhaust valve cover, the part numbers are 46240461A for the spring washer and 77550161A for the screw.

I remember Ady sold his Evo last month http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=57534 and he had the QD link pipe fitted. He may not have passed the original centre section to the new owner so you could ask if he's still got it.

Sorry, Ron, I've been in touch with Ady and, unfortunately, he sold the pipe along with the bike

I agree about the cost if you get it from Design Corse as they're asking a salty £438. I got mine from a French dealer on eBay for about half that. They're not showing any in stock at the moment but, if you're prepared to look abroad, there's an Italian dealer offering them for £215 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DUCATI-MO...D/142610893909*

Edit: Just noticed that pipe is listed for 2011 & 2012 models and there's a different one shown for 2013 https://wwe.ebay.co.uk/itm/DUCATI-MO...-/401452641203 not sure why though as I'm not aware of any differences.

Cheers lud, yeah I found those on eBay. I too found the 2011 & 2012 version then separate 2013 version…all listed for £215 which isn’t terrible.

I’m not in any rush to change it…only if I fancy a tidy up, sell on or if it holes itself

I like the badge of honour it represents.

I kept touching the exhaust valve cover on the 1200R, going through Redgate when I did Donington in May.

I like Flips comments, I no longer do modern track days and keep with Classic or special events ... my slow old MZ can go around the outside but completely blown away on straights - but who cares. Nothing like reeling in a superior bike (no necessarily rider!) on the brakes and just having your own fun. I haven't run my Ducati 250 on a track yet because she is my road jewel but maybe one day soon.

I've been trying to think of any other members who might have what you need and the only one that comes to mind is MerlinPV12, who had a full titanium system made for his. You could drop him a PM to see if he still has the original.
