Float heights incorrectly set or float valves not sealing? Check your cylinders aren't filling with fuel or it could all go bang, literally and in a fairly major way!

Utopia - no fuel overflowing when engine not running - i will check fuel tap diaphragm.

Darren - checked and OK

Am i right in thinking that the fuel is pumped to the carbs continuously when the engine is running? if so fault must be with floats/float height/float valve not shutting off incoming flow when carb bowls fill up. - Does that make sense?

Will recheck all over the weekend - pilot error being my favourite bet for this!!
