I just mailed the details to Iconic Classics in Oakham.. Just the sort of pristine bike that they stock, although they are also sh1t hot on the provenance, but the word must be spread!

So what exactly can you do with a brand new unregistered bike? Unless it is to be installed in some recluse megalomaniac's house somewhere as an object d'art.
I can't see how you would ever punt it on?? Or get it out of the Country.

As Maggsy said... Share away.

Like Wilf said, you almost have to admire the planning and execution of it.

While on the subject of execution that’s exactly what ought to be the punishment if ever they catch the scrotes!!

Stolen to order most likely ... although its probably pretty damaged having been dragged through the hole in the wall!

Yea, why did they make the hole too low? Surely a taller, narrower hole would hae been better? Or did they know the wall wouldn't allow it. Steel work in the wall maybe?

Yea, it,'s a pro job sure. They will have been in the shop recently though however to scope the place out and probably hanging around outside too. So they will be on cctv.

CCTV is worthless half the time. I know, it's one of my 'responsibilities' where I work. One time we were robbed in full view of the CCTV cameras, they just covered their hands and faces! And yeah, maybe they are on film at some point in the past scoping the place out, but how are you going to tell? CCTV often comes in at the end of the investigation, not at the beginning. Thinking about it, a similar thing happened in a (push) bike shop in MK last year, thieves smashed a hole in the wall at the back of the shop and nicked half the stock.

Either way, the thieving scum should have their hands cut off

Felons certainly know the attraction of Ducatis. In the last 6months, there have been at least three clutches of ads on ebay for choice models, the characteristics being only one photo, copy that is completely non-specific and would better apply to a car, and a very low starting price. Twice I've reported a dozen ads to ebay and they disappear in a day and the last time they were taken down quickly without me bothering to go through the process.

Surely, no-one will be taken in by a dodgy V4R?

Track bike? Cheap set of plastics for the fairing then carefree trackdaying? I don’t recall the frame number being checked whenever I’ve done one...
