Can’t send or receive private messages

Hi

Trying to reply to private messages and they are not showing in my sent box or in the message thread. So I’m assuming they’re not sending? Have tried on my phone and laptop but no joy. Has anyone else had this issue?

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section.

I didn't even know there was a sent box.
If you want to prove that you have sent a message just copy yourself in on the address bar.
I've even received messages with a read receipt.. I'm sure I don't know how to work that either!

Just for information, does anyone else not get email alerts to subjects they've tagged? I know Rob is busy on a new system, so I guess I can live with the status quo, though I always found their stuff was monotonous*.

I have a status quo story. I saw them in Liverpool in about 1975 in a theatre. They played the first song and the audience politely applauded .

Rossi says....The management have specifically asked me to tell you not to stand on the seats......

Mayhem ensued .

Danny,I’ve just sent you a test PM.
I’ve also set your profile to save a sent copy by default (you had it set not to)

edit options in User CP

edit PM settings

check you have PMs enabled, choose to save sent messages (or not)

turn on/off per message under Compose PM

check Inbox/Sent Messages (Gary)

...just in case the boredom of quarantine is getting to you too, I’ll specifically ask you not to stand on the seats ;-)

I've been caught out with this in the past.

The messages I've sent don't appear in my sent box until they've been opened by the receiver.

They appear to go into a Black hole and can't be accessed between being sent and being read.

that’s odd, I assume this isn’t read receipt related?

I rarely select that option, it always seems a bit ‘corporate middle management’, like cc’ing someone’s line manager just to wind them up

edit: just sent a test pm and it shows immediately in sent items

It's not a problem.

When i first joined up and was trying to get a message to another member to buy his bike I sent it to him 3 or 4 times thinking it was getting lost somehow.

But now I know about it I know not to look.
