M600 starter problem ??

my mate alex has an M600 that is continuing to crank over even after ignition switched off

is it switch,, starter,, staerter clutch or another likely issue ,, he is 600 miles from me ???

solenoid getting stuck I would say.

Or a short to earth between solenoid and starter button?

It's showing classic sticky solenoid symptoms.. It should be put in isolation!

And get your big hammers out. I've never had one go on me, but I've seen a 6 in nail glow red and then weld itself to the battery posts when laid accross a 12v battery so the potential is there.

Almost certainly the Solenoid I would say but I would give the lead down to the starter a good clean and check over while going through it as it can get corroded if water gets into the rubber boot of the connection.
