Trying to be more active...

So i have been a member on here for about 2 years but am disappointed with myself at how little actual involvement i have had around the forum.

Had the 620 out for a couple of months this year and looking for some play mates around the Surrey / Hampshire area, I'm in farnham.

Good idea to get more active and there is plenty going on in the South East on a regular basis.

You've got Mrs C in Farnborough (I think) as well as a few others nearby. I used to be Camberley/Frimley Green but now Le Mans - a bit too far away for the local meets - but always happy to see any members passing through or over here for the 24hr etc.

If anyone wants to take on a Surrey (or Surrey/Sussex... I know Farnham is right over the Hants side) Rep role, let me know.

I know the Hogs Back - but didn't know there was a suitable meet point. Where you thinking?

My mum lives in F'boro so she'd be well pleased if I got over that way a bit more often.

What does it actually involve?

(could the rep get people to come and wash their bike in return for cups of tea?)

I don't think it's humanly possible to drink that much tea

Organise a monthly (or at least regular) meet in your area, persevere, getting phone numbers and email addresses (so you can let them know, rather than relying on them noticing your forum posts) until people actually get used to it and show up. Look at neighbouring regional meets and try to organise something that doesn't conflict too much.
eg. we chose 1st Sat for London meets because Kent was already 2nd Sunday, people with family and other commitments often only get a '1 day pass' on a weekend.

Don't hold your breath waiting for folk to wash your bike if it's really dirty ;-)

Oh so that's why you always have a bucket and sponge with you at Fat Boys!
