After a belly pan for monster S4R
Hi all as the title says after a belly pan either carbon or red.
Some advice on which looks best would also be appreciated too. Thanks 😁 |

The most common type is the Ducati Performance one or one of the many copies available.
Genuine Ducati one is shown on my S4 below:- The other type you will see is the S4 Challenge type which is a proper belly pan/oil catch used for the race bikes.

This is the S4 Challenge type.
This is for sale if you're interested? It's a genuine Ducati part but needs a minor repair as the mounting lugs on one side are slightly damaged. It should be a fairly easy repair but I never got around to it as I decided I prefer the smaller type that is on the bike.

Just a quick point to note- the Ducati performance one were made as 2v and 4v specific.
Because of the twin pipe headers on the S4 the 2v belly pan won’t fit without some trimming. The 4v one will fit the 2v motors however, but again has a different profile around the front and I think require a little bracket to mount somewhere as I think they have an extra (four instead of three?) fixing point. The 2v pan has three mounting points: 1, the front near side - back of the starter motor/engine case- you will need an M6x30mm (I think) spacer to take up the gap there. 2, the rear side stand fixing - you will need an M10 flat washer to space the other. 3, off side engine fixing with an M6 spacer to fill the counter bore where the original cap head screw fitted.

Finding a belly pan to fit might be tricky as you have an oil cooler fitted, if I remember rightly.

I'll take £50 for it, which is what I paid for it plus postage.

Now it looks to me as if the two mountings have broken off. It wasn't described as damaged from the original seller on here but that is the conclusion I have reached. It already looks like it has been drilled once, near to one broken mount, but I think it can be repaired by either repairing the originals or as I had planned removing the original mounting points, cutting it back and bolting to some fixing brackets.
