Breakfast in January

Eek! It's the second Sunday, next Sunday. It's crept up on me and I have to fire from the hip.
Who can make it to the "Piece of Cake" Café at Coltishall?

That would be for 10am on Sunday 12th.

Any better suggestions gratefully received.. We could put this back a week if the notice is too short?

Following this original post we decided to go for the 19th at the same venue.

So to confirm..

Sunday 19th Jan, 10am at "A Piece Of Cake" Coltishall. (Opposite the Island filling station in the old Sally Army hall)

The following weekend works better for me, if others agree to the date being moved.

Okay, the 19th gives me a bit more breathing space, so I'll call it a done deal.

Looking less likely that the Monster will coming out tomorrow as the temperature falls and the gritters head out!
Parking is always at a premium at this popular little Café. There are one or two places by the shops on the North Walsham side of the garage. Not too far to walk.. At least it won't be raining..
If you arrive a bit later and can't find us, remember to have a look upstairs.

Aiming to be with you for 10.30, hoping the temp might rise a degree or two!
Keep the coffee hot!

Sorry, but not sure I'm gonna make it. Feeling a bit rough today. Gonna see if I feel a bit better in a little while but not sure I'm up for a freezing ride over..

It's all white here, but Coltishall is a heady 4 degrees already apparently!

Fresh air will do you good Nathan..

Well I drove over on a mixture of white frosty roads and heavily gritted ones, with a smattering of deep mud thrown in for good measure. I have to take my hat off to Dacs for riding, and to Grumpy and Steve for their nearly 100mile round trip on Bikes. Nice to meet Steve again after making his acquaintance at The Sharnbrook Hotel on one of Ciro's Italian days. Also nice to see his GT1000, which ties in very nicely with one of my projects.
Great to catch up with Richard and Hamish who are making good progress with Hamish's 620ie... Hoping that the immobilizer plays ball and we hear about a running 620ie very soon..

Smashing to see everyone again and have some great banter.. Till next time..

Good to see everyone today.
The ride over was....errr... Cool! We left Peterborough with the temperature hovering just above zero. As we headed towards Norwich the thermometer slowly rose and the roads became drier.
The banter was great as always, I hope the friction burn on your right hand heals quickly Dacs!
Heading home was much brisker, with dry roads and the temperature a balmy 7 degs.
Total mileage today was 132 miles....now to clean the bike
