RIP Neil Peart
One third of probably the greatest band died on Jan 7 of brain cancer. Neil Pert has to have been the worlds best drummer, RIP Neil.

Still perhaps not up to Gene Krupa or Buddy Rich standard!

Totally disagree, Neil Peart was second only to Bonzo IMHO, a hugely talented drummer and lyricist, I read his book Ghost Rider a couple of years ago about how he had to deal with the deaths of his daughter and wife within 18 months of each other, he got on his motorbike and rode for 50k miles before his head was fixed, I can't believe he only retired from the band last year, one man should not suffer so much tragedy in his life.
RIP Neil |
