Trying to fit damper to S4R

Bought a Ducati performance steering damper from a member on here.
However I’m not sure if something is missing or it simply doesn’t fit.
The pins on the ignition barrel mount are too short to fit the nuts back on with the damper fitted.

it should include new studs

They were a DP special part, part of the kit so I would say your chances are slim to none of getting even the complete kit, let alone parts from it. I was told the 999 parts were the same for the shorter cover but that proved incorrect.

The longer pins were fitted to the Fogarty S4 as standard which is what i have and a dealer will have part fiches for, so it maybe worth asking. I was recently able to source an Ohlins shock remote adj. bracket from Forza Moto who deal in NOS Ducati parts and I had almost given up ever finding one of those.

No I literally only got the damper
