Deposits paid

So , as promised I have visited the selected establishment and, purely for market research purposes sampled a selection of dishes from the menu together with a few pints of moretti.i can confirm all is acceptable and deposits are paid.

Glad to hear the not so 'dry run' went well! Deposits at our monthly meet this weekend, presumably?

Phil Morris is well known in racing circles, especially in Wales ,check out his website "philmorrisracing", he also runs the road racing legends charity. He has an enviable bike collection that is well worth a gander.

So, with a big thanks to Pete who will be our guide, Sunday 4th November we get the chance to take a guided tour, meeting place is Whittington castle car park at 10:30.

To put Whittington on the map, we pass through it when we do the Ellesmere run from the lockgate. We can meet at the lockgate for 10.0 but as Laura only opens at ten coffee won't be an option! A swift ride to Whittington and job done, alternative is to go straight there and call at the lockgate after the visit.

Due to time of year cars may be the option on the day, I will keep in touch as we get nearer the day.

Ok folks, the monthly meet is upon us , we have a visit arranged, see above extract from the previous post. We meet between 10:15 and 10.30 at Whittington, post code is SY11 4DF.....aim for the pub car park opposite the castle. Hopefully there will be time for a coffee at the lockgate afterwards, see you tomorrow

Phil Morris Collection

Wow, where to start with today, first great turnout today, great to see Geoff out and about again.............and of course Mike,Pezz,Chris,Mark,Annabel and Andy !

Despite the fact Pete was visibly disgusted that he was the only one on two wheels ,he recovered well to give a great visit the Phil's private museum and of course to meet Phil himself. He has made it a mission to assemble this remarkable collection, the following photos do not do it justice. As well as a number of bikes, including Sam Lowes moto2 bike, jamie whitham's, vale's 125, Phil Reads........etc etc he has assembled a huge collection of Leathers and helmets. Here are but a few pics of the trip,

No description needed..............more pics taken but I risk clogging up the forum !! too much to take in

What a great get together today and thanks to Pete for introducing us to Phil who very kindly let us loose in his man cave.

The photos even though they're excellent don't show the extent of a fantastic amount of motor cycle memorabilia housed in the cave, bravo Phil ...

A big thanks to Pezz for picking me up and transporting me today it was good to get out and nice to visit the Lock Gate again...
