Really sorry to hear that mate, good excuse for modifications though, as long as you are safe and well.

I’m all good thank you, the only dents were in my pride haha! I’ve been looking at putting some bar end mirrors on anyway so it’s a good excuse to get some ordered soon!

It looks like a few of us have been off in the past week.....not good!

I’ve just ordered some new bar end mirrors to try so should be back out and about soon. I need to have a go at replacing my brake pedal too but I think even with my limited mechanical skill I should be able to manage that haha.

I’ve had a few days to contemplate what happened and I’m wondering whether I ‘low sided’? The tyres that came on the bike are very square and I’ve tried to rescue them but think they need changing. I’ve heard that square tyres can be pretty dangerous on corners so perhaps they are to blame.....along with my inexperience

Sunday meet,2nd June.

Well folks,it's time for the lockgate again, first Sunday of the month, this one will be a bit different.

Plan is to meet as usual 10.30, we have an alteration to our sign in the corner to undertake then the idea is a leisurely ride out to Ellesmere, Geoff's favourite ride.

An official hand over of " bike of the year" trophy to Pezz is also on the agenda.

Hope to see you Sunday,

I have the trophies wrapped and packed in the rucksack, of course if my bike doesn't get through the MOT on Saturday I will have to keep them!

Keep your fingers crossed Pezz.

Do you really need pictures of me, trophies and bike? Sure most people would be happy with just the bike...

I'll be more concerned if the bike doesn't pass that you'll be missing what looks at the moment like a great dry ride out.

If all is good with the bike do you want to pass by mine on the way and we can ride down together or could meet somewhere by the new bridge if its easier for you to go via st helens and widnes

Hi Pezz, I don't think I would miss the ride whatever! We can meet wherever you fancy, I always went down the M57 to swing by Geoff's, just let me know.

As Mike says the grinning mug is not an option when you are the people's favourite!!
