748 Gudgeon pin wanted for trophy

Strange request I know... Could anyone please help me out with a scrap Gudgeon pin/wrist pin/little end/ piston pin.

This would be to suit a 748 piston. They must be fairly standardized I would imagine, so if you have any pin that would fit I would be very grateful.

This is simply to complete a Weekender trophy, so it will never have to run, just so long as I can get it into the piston.

If anyone knows if pins from other models will fit that would help broaden my search.

Thanks for looking...

If it's 20mm a competition one from a Matchless G50 fits.

I believe it is.

I have a spare 916 piston and it has 20mm pin - 50mm long, so I assume 748 is same diameter but shorter?

Also got a pair of ST2 pistons which have 19mm pins (57mm long) which, I think are the same as M900 so old Monster pins no good?

But if it doesn't need to run then I suppose length isn't too important so any 20mm pin that's long enough to hold it together would be OK...

It appears to be 20 x 50mm. Anything from 57 to 40mm would do the trick.

Searched the workshop high and low... Not a G50 in sight, sadly!

Thanks for the info Stafford and Dukedesmo, that increases the chances of someone finding one.
It's only needed to cable tie the piston to a polished wood base. I could make something out of wood if needs be. A proper pin would look more betterer though...

I'm still on the look out for a 20x50 piston pin for a club ornament if anyone can help me out please.
It can be totally unserviceable so long as it will still push into a piston ( I can glue it if it's loose)
Funds available to cover costs.

Well yes I guess that would do the trick in the absence of a piston pin.
It would need nicely finished ends though, to not look like a dogs breakfast.
I was thinking of turning up a wooden one if push comes to shove... I have a nice piece of rosewood.
