New DID chain fitted
Have just fitted a new chain on the 1100evo after 17700 miles. Old original Regina chain was worn so far that it could be pulled away from the rear sprocket by about 5 mm. Sprockets however were not so bad so I judged that the dramatic wear in the chain was relatively recent. Obviously the most important consideration was bling, so a D.I.D 525 zvm-x Gold on Gold was required. I have learnt a lot of lessons on cutting and fitting and have also dismantled the old chain in order to learn where wear takes place and what is important regarding lubrication and cleaning in future.
