Popham today

I know several members were at Popham today. We got there a bit late (afternoon) but I saw a woman standing next to a monster. For some reason I thought it was Char. No idea why as I have never met Char. I introduced myself, established (vey quickly) it wasn't but is a relatively new monster owner looking for a group to socialise with...she's from... Hampshire!. I pointed her to this forum so hopefully there will be another member soon.

Shame we missed you. Char was there though. We thats Rally myself and Caroline did see a Black/orange striped s2r in the outside park by the fence like Liz's and we carded it.

We also had a new monster rider today on a red 696 by the name of Andy . He was on a very dirty bike belonging to his Mrs.

Im sure it now spotless.

Hya - yes I was there but left my bike down on the gravel , it was still a pig to clean when I got back - not helped by the lack of hugger (you know who you are )

Nice ride home in the sun

I can confirm that Andy has now washed all the mud off my bike! And I didn't even have to bribe him with extra home made cookies (though there were still some brownies left from yesterday which may have helped ....)

The lady I met was on a 696, white with red frame. We parked at the top by the entrance

We didn't know how to get to Popham and came off the 303 after the services, by the time we got to the airfield the bikes looked like we had come via the fields as the little lanes we rode down were very wet and muddy. We left using the more direct route which was fine. I was more than a little p*ssed off as It's taken about three hours to get the bikes clean. Thank god for SDOC gel.

I think she knew it was going to be muddy at Popham and would be able to insist I wash the bike afterwards... next time a bike with a bit of weather protection is in order!!

Obviously me riding like an old woman over the grass paid off as the 900ss was spotless when I got home......

Good day out - apart from the mid morning downpour.
