If your tyre is squealing you've already used too much front brake!

So the outer pads are pressing the floating discs into the middle pad, when the middle pad gets worn down beyond the travel of the floating disc bobbins, the brake stops working? At least you will get a nice Tambourine noise, even if you have a wet clutch.

Anyway I've had 6 discs on my Monster... Just not all at the same time..

exactly, and you can do that with the stock twin disc setup on road tyres

and you start bending the discs (although I’d expect the designer to have foreseen that and provided sufficient play)
