Modified my M900 using a Ladder!

Brought this a while back off Gumtree and finally got some time today to fit it.

The existing Shock was a std item and somebody in the past had painted the spring.
It actually looked OK and to be honest I think it was performing OK, I just couldn't resist the Hyperpro

So, the ladder! Plus ratchet strap.

Old and New

And fitted

It feels a little soft at the moment so I might have to wind it up a bit, or even change the spring, but annoyingly I didn't get out for a ride as the battery has gone completely flat, Again, more in another thread.

I'm sure I'm going to have fun playing with all the adjustments.

Love a good shock swap!

That looks like a quality piece of kit, Nasher, with high and low speed damping I see. Should make for a plush ride.

Can you get to the preload rings with the shock in situ or will you have to remove it? Looks like there's room for a remote preload adjuster if Hyperpro do such a thing.

Yep, I reckon it's going to be far better at doing it's job than I'm going to be at telling the difference.

Dare I let on that I paid less than £100 for it from a guy who lives only 20 mins from me

Guy said he'd only used it briefly then sold the bike, and he thinks people were put off buying it by the linear spring.
He'd put it on Gumtree several times at lower and lower prices before I snapped it up.
