I would expect the seam round the base to look more ‘handmade’ and probably flush and TIGed rather than flanged and MIGed (sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference visually when the welder was a robot). RR tanks have flatter panels in the knee cutouts. It’s certainly a custom paintjob (or a special I haven’t come across before).
I’ve never seen or heard of a stock aluminium tank, but then I’ve never seen a plastic carbie tank but have been told a few exist) |
