Hello Fom Wiltshire

Hi all. Just bought a 2013 696+. Can't ride it till 24th due to hols. Won't be able to keep off it after that! Moved up from an SV650. Had a few British and Japanese bikes since 1970's but now I finally have a Ducati 😛

Welcome to the circus and all the fun ahead. I have fond memories of Wiltshire from 2 tours at Lyneham. Soo miss the decent country pubs from down that way.

Hi Maggsy, and welcome.
There are quite a few Monsterers scattered around Wiltshire and over the border in Hampshire.
We should be due a breakfast meet next weekend, so may get to see your bike and have a chat?

Yep, me too.
And I've lusted after one since the first v-twins of the early 70's.
Got my M750 10yrs ago and its still a love affair.
Always will be.

Welcome.
Hope you get the same from yours.

Hello and welcome...

My Monster used to live in Trowbridge before I made it mine and fetched it home in a very hot smelly Transit van.

I had a real treat on Friday evening...I spotted the RAF's new transport plane, the Atlas-440 (replacement for the Hercules). It was orbiting Norwich airport and clearly displaying some very un-transporter like manoeuvres for the benefit of a lucky crowd at the airport.
I was very impressed indeed...

Good luck with your Monster...No looking back now..

Thanks Mr Gazza. I'll look out for the Atlas. Used to like airshows but it's not the same now the Vulcan has gone.

I'm sure I'll love the Monster. Hopefully I won't need too much luck. I haven't seen too many people posting about problems with the 696. Oh! I've probaby just jinxed myself! 🤔
