1997 M600 carb rebuild kit - where to buy

Where's a good place to get a carb rebuild kit from? I've seen some on eBay for about £10 which seems too cheap to be any good - has anyone tried these, are they OK? Can't find any others in the UK on google but have not tried phoning round any dealers yet.

Ta

I had one bad experience with a cheap EBAY set in a XR650L. Jets were even softer than normal and rounded so easily.

Since then I have normally got OEM parts from suppliers but this is seriously expensive...I have not found a good place to get Mikuni or Keihin parts at a reasonable price...they must exist!

That's a good site. Same kind of prices I pay at CMSNL for the parts. OEM carb bits are expensive!

I'll second that, though I've only bought Keihin parts from them they had stock at reasonable prices plus, as a bonus they're only a 20 minute ride away from me.

I've had several dealings with Allens in the past, all positive.

Never used Allens but word of mouth feedback has always been good although not such great reviews online so probably best to call in where possible.

I was going to rebuild some carbs for my 900 build but after pricing up some good used ones, any spares and a Dynojet kit it makes more sense to buy some flatslides which is what I'm currently saving for. I'm looking at some Mikuni's from Frank MX in The Netherlands

I have used Motocarb.com in the past for genuine Mikuni parts - at least for older carbs .I don't know if he stocks parts for newer carbs. The owner, Steve, is very helpful and knowledgeable, and you can go to his house in Crosby to pick stuff up.

BTW I bought a £10 rebuild kit for a Keihin carb off ebay. None of it was useable; a total waste of money

That Frank MX site looks great! 90EUR for one Monster 600 carb rebuild with genuine mikuni parts. That is way cheaper than parts from Ducati etc.

Also second Frank MX.

I bought a TPS for my Keihin carbs from him and when I asked him for some advice regarding fitting etc. he not only was very helpful but also sent me a mounting bracket FOC.

I used Allens when I had all sorts of carb troubles with my M600 - excellent service and reasonable prices. Not cheap, but reasonable.
