Delivered a S2R to Derby on tuesday, went down the M6 -A50 but came back to manchester on A-roads, blimey never seen so many gatso's in my life as on the A52 and Derbyshire in general.
Take no notice Gordon, you're better being five minute late in this life than five minutes early in the next... Last edited by buzzbomb; 20-10-2011 at 08:33 AM.. |

Yep, derbyshire seems to be particularly bad for them. Manchester has quite a few dotted around on those annoying 30mph main roads that could clearly have been turned into dual carriageways too. My impression is that most of the country got a job lot of gatsos Judging by the speed some people go through them there must be a website somewhere showing all the ones that are turned off?
Not that Adams have to worry about such things... I'd be struggling to keep up with that milk float too |

Funny! I live in Kings Langley and dont find them a problem as know where they all are. Most dont have film in them anyway but there are a few around yes! They are almost as bad a the 1,000,000 speed humps in the county! Bit of info for anyone who uses the M1 down to London, after the widenening they have now stuck cameras behind the gantrys and they flash anything over 80mph! My rearview mirror resembeled a 1980s disco the other day! Luckily my battered Honda only does 75!

There is alot hidden up in gantrys...
I was hacked off at all the ave speed cams at Dartford on the bridge and aproach both ways...they insisted they where not switched on yet .. then just switched them on and caught people out. They are always burning them around Epsom .. tyres foam you name it ! Speed humps .. not my friend .. some are so high and domed its mental and I ground my bike out on one was very angry .. I understand they are there for a reason but can't they be a bloody uniform size!! Not Glastobury Tor size thanks"! |

Come to Swindon, they have all been switched off for over a year now and less people have been killed as a result!

You may need to keep a look out after all Gordon. I've just heard they are launching a gatso with built in calendar, and high definition colour camera. They can work out how fast you are moving by noting the growth difference in the grass at the side of the road. Several donkeys have been caught speeding in India using this technology.
