Two hoots it is !

Morning folks,

So Pete did the reccy mid week and we confirm it’s Two Hoots cafe,11:30.

Setting off at 09:00 , meet at the BP garage, south of Chester on the A483, post code CH4 9DQ.

Weather forecast is changing almost hourly, looks fair at the moment but waterproofs maybe the option methinks

Update on the Lockgate is promising, Laura now awaiting the kitchen fit out, seems the structural stuff is done, maybe October ?

Thumbs up for two hoots

Those of us who took a chance on the weather this morning were rewarded with a great run down to two hoots, no rain but some stretches of wet road, worth the punt for sure.

Thanks to Col,Chris and Pete for your company once again, nice to see another of Peter’s collection, this time the Royal Enfield interceptor . In Petes words “ a new,old bike “

Until next time folks

Excellent run out, bang on 300 miles for the round trip. Thanks to Mike and Colin for an enjoyable day and to Peter for finding another good watering hole

October meet

Well, after deliberation and influenced by fuel availability and a bad weather forecast October’s meet will be the second Sunday of October in the hope both situations will improve!

Pete is reserving a table at the Bickerton poacher,10:00 am Sunday 10th.

The lock gate remains closed, poor Laura has issues with completing the refit and all her original staff have found alternative employment !, she says recruitment is going well and hopes to open by the end of this month…..not been a good year for her.

Keep smiling…….

November meet

As our permanent home is not re opening until 8th November , well done Laura,it’s been a long road!, we are once again spreading our custom around the North West

Tomorrow we meet at the Brandreth Barn tea room before heading off into the trough of Bowland.

Weather is “ish” for the time of year, suspect thermals maybe a wise choice, meeting at ten, see any brave souls there,

Great turn out today guys ,great to see both the current and previous “ bike of
the year”. High winds didn’t put us off and a good day was had by all.now warming up with a few mugs of Yorkshire tea

We can visit the Lockgate again next month ,then we have the Christmas meal to look forward too, where has this year gone, until next time, stay safe.

Well folks that’s another year signed off with a great get together ,our Christmas meal at cabbage Hall, not too far from Oulton Park.

Great to see Barb out with us again, a long shift for taxi driver Chris

Great to see Peter and Fran, Adie and Barb,Col and Di,Mark and james , who wasn’t at all grumpy!.

I got a chance to show james some of the regular haunts in the North west ,including a long overdue return to the lockgate. Laura has done a great job restoring her coffee house although she has gone a bit “Disney” with the decor in my view she has restored our sign which remains in Geoffs corner.

Looking forward to the Christmas break and many more gatherings in 22, stay safe everyone and have a great Christmas.
