Bar end mirrors

So after taking a little slide off my bike yesterday I need some new mirrors and bar ends among a few other things. I have been considering bar end mirrors for a while and this seems to be an opportunity to put some on, plus I might actually be able to see behind me rather than just my elbows!

Has anyone here fitted any? If so what did you go for? I’ve seen a range from the £20 up to the £100+ and really don’t have much experience with them so wouldn’t know the difference.

I do like the cafe racer style round ones. It’s to go on my back 696.

Thanks in advance!

Got some bar end mirrors, probably flea bay generic, and yes they do work nicely.

And as a bonus you can even adjust them to give you that classic elbow view in case the novelty of a half decent rear view wears thin

Hi Matey, I have Gear Gremlin bar end mirrors on my 1100, really good, easy to adjust and £30/40 per pair.

I have a pair on my M900.

They were on it when I brought it and I nearly changed them, but soon realised they gave a better view than standard mirrors.
Also, strangely, they are actually better with the clip-ons I've since fitted.

I've no idea of the make or model, but I wouldn't change them now.

I've had some Oberon bar-enders on my bike for nearly 10yrs.
Its been so long that I can't remember much about the originals but I do remember thinking at the time that the bar-enders actually gave a better rear view than the originals, despite being smaller.
Mine are round, 75mm dia.
Nashers look the same size as far as I can judge.

One question is .. will you need to fold them to get through, say a narrow gateway or shed door ?
Mine need readjusting each time .. which isn't actually too much bother but there are other designs which flip inwards and can be flipped back out again to their previously adjusted position.
CRG Lanesplitters is one name that I recall .. not sure if they're still available or not.

My Oberons were pricey but there are chinese copies to be had which are much cheaper and probably still fairly decent.

I've got the CRG and they are very good, no vibration, good visibility (despite being small) and fold back easily, returning to the set position on a 'click' which is useful if you need to regularly get through narrow spaces.

They're not cheap though but well worth the price, in my opinion.

Right I’ve decided to go with the Oberon Streetfighter 60mm mirrors. Looking forward to trying them on once they arrive! I’m lucky that I have a pretty clear run from my garage so no need to squeeze past anything.

Thanks all for the advice. I’ll post some pics when they’re on!

Just cheap ebay ones on my monster . Had them on for a couple of years . They work great .

They probably offer a better view than the factory ones on my street 765 rs as hey get a bit blurry .

Bar end mirrors look great but then you’ve got nowhere to hang your helmet
