ceramic terminal block???????
anyone ever tried ceramic terminal block for instead of standard melty plastic connectors for alternator wires?? ceramic can handle 300-500 c temp
just an idea

I think its only the high current flow vs high resistance/poor connection in the wires that causes the heat. So it may only mask the problem. You really need bigger wires and better connections to avoid the heat build up.

what guage is the standard wire 8??? i think 10 or 12 guage would be good replacement but soldering it to the alternator may be a problem
