first proper ride 1100s
Hi chaps , so got out on the new bike for a proper ride to a bike meet at the " Log cabin " , about 30miles from me with some really nice twisty's , bike seems a sit on as apposed to a sit in like my old m900 but starting to get used to it and seems to handle ok ,feels a bit steep when pushing in hard on corners ,has plenty of torque which is nice ,so here she is and wishing all a happy new yr * ) ps thanks again for all your advice and insight hope you all have some great rides in 2019 .

Looking good, Vince, especially the Arrow cans.
Glad you're enjoying it - even if it's not an Evo! |

Your right in your description Sit On. You are made to lean more over the front giving you more involvement in riding it. It was quite an experience for me going from a m900 to a s4 then riding the M1100s when they were introduced and I fell in love with it. Much tighter on the gonads but it keeps you alert rather than the earlier bike as you say sitting more comfy in it. I guess that's why so many fit clip on's and rear sets. I have to say though when I did restore my m900 with the ohlins rear shock it feels higher and more stable than stock and I liked that.
Enjoy your new bike.

nice one.
the ‘mk2’ definitely steers a bit quicker than the earlier ones. one of my first track laps on one had me on the rumble strips at the apex due to the extra agility, the good news is there’s no sacrifice in stability. |
