...and a fine example it is too, must admit the FE looks lush.....what a shi**e job that Rutter bloke has got !!!!!

I haven't bought Performance Bikes in years - I used to go to their mental Frenzy's at Cadwell until the year the beer tent ran out of beer and got 'broken' then the following year it had to move to Donington which was a disaster.

I did hear from one time editor Simon Hargreaves some time ago though and have since caught up with his Youtube bike reviews, one being of the new Honda CB1100 which in typical Honda fashion they have to try to introduce character into it by phasing the cam timing giving cylinders 1 & 2 a different profile to cylinders 3 & 4 which apparently makes it feel like the carbs are slightly out of balance according to SH- except of course they're not because it is fuel injected.

The motorcycling world has gone mad!!!

Anyway, might have to buy PB now just for Natty's 888.

I didn't spot the MCN article, but I might need to grab the practical sportsbike issues for souvenirs.

There are some very minor components on Stafford's bike which were born on my ancient centre-lathe.
These parts, mostly simple spacers, have now competed in two classic TTs.
Stafford probably thinks I did him a favour in making them but the truth is that the chance to have such personal (if minor) involvement in an actual TT contender has its own, greater value.
Let me know if next year's effort requires any more bits Staff ... and I'll do them early this time too.

There is indeed an excellent six page article on the 888 in issue 85 of Practical Sportsbikes, which should be in the shops on 11 October.
