Good to see everyone this morning, pig sick my bike is off the road! Geoff has managed to source me a replacement - shame he didn't tell me last night so I could have sorted out the insurance.

Roll on June 3rd for the next meet

Sunday meet and ride out

Well folks once again an amazing turn out, sun was shining and the car park was adorned with Ducati machinery, thanks to one an all.

Eleven bikes started the ride out, four taking the shorter route whilst the rest continued into deepest Wales.

Many thanks to Tim for planning today, a cracking ride, 226 miles for me and I am sure there would be some that exceed that ......I am now of for a soak in a hot bath !!

Until next time folks, a few memories of the day.......

Marc's plumbing complete at last...sound is good too !

some lovely weather for a change

Had a great day - thanks to everyone for the ride. Looking forward to next month.

Few of the pics I took... had a nice bimble to the ponderosa after we split off at the A5.. forgot how nice the scenery is on the way to Llangollen..

Couple of pics from me (apologies for the smudge on some of them.. inconsiderate bug of some sort targeted my go-pro)

traffic was a little horrendous on the way there...

And although not the best sound in the world, I did get a nice overtake from Marc with his new cans on
(I did try to embed the video but no luck so just the link for now..)

Ponderosa was busy...

and stopped on the way back for a picturesque welsh photo

Great pic's guys of a fab day out. Loving those head lights and LED's A + A.

Racked up nearly as many miles today as I did in all of 2017!! and feeling it. Mrs skid raised an eyebrow when I said I'll be stiff tonight. Looking forward to cramp at 3am.

Can't wait for the next one and fingers crossed Chris's suspension gets sorted. Maybe less miles & more brews

Reckon it's a certainly the mileage will be lower - how many brews did you have, I'm sure we could increase them if required!

10:30 is fine with me, Mike, I'll be there earlier as it's only 5 minutes from home. They aren't particularly quick serving & it's a popular stop for cyclists so doubtless there will also be a pack of them there as well.

I'll post the route during the week

So folks here we have Sunday's route " Trundle in the Trough".....nice one Chris, I note you have already excelled with the number of refreshment stops !! Looking forward to this..... enjoy the Brandreth Barn to the Trough route:

A59 to Tarleton lights turning right towards Preston
2nd exit off roundabout (B5247 Leyland)
1st left (B5248 Leyland)
Into 30 mph zone (speed camera) and right t lights (B5253 Chorley)
2nd exit off roundabout (B5253)
1st exit at mini roundabout and 1st let onto Runshaw Hall Lane after the Elephant Restaurant
Over the M6, through Euxton and on to roundabout taking 1st exit.
Left at lights onto A6 and immediately right at next lights onto A674.
Over M61 and through Higher Wheelton
Under M67 and 1st exit onto A675 (Walton-le Dale), turn left at T junction
It may be wise to regroup at the Boars Head car park in Hoghton the route to the A677 has no signposts
At the Stanley Hotel turn right onto the A677 and immediately left to Mellor

(if anyone needs a quick dart turn left onto A677 and it takes you to J31 on the M6)

Right at the T junction, through Mellor, Ramsgreave and on through Whalley forking left onto the A671 to Clitheroe. Pick up B6478 (Waddington) all the way through to the T junction in Newton-by-Bowland.
Turn left and through Dunsop Bridge turn right (Lancaster & Trough)

(carrying on at Dunsop Bridge takes you to Longridge and on to Preston if you need to break off, there’s a small café at Dunsop Bridge if you need a stop)

After 4 or 5 miles turn left to Scorton where we can stop for a drink.
On to Cabus and then turn down the A6.
Depending on your preferred route home you can head off the A6 onto the M55/M6 junction or follow me through Preston.
We are only half a mile or so off the A59 so anyone is welcome to stop for a drink & sandwich/cake.

Rufford/Rufford round rip is about 100 miles

Pezz is hoping to get to the Brandreth for about 11:15 which, with the speed of service, should mean he'll get there to join us failing that he'll meet us on the way.
