Afternoon all, Manchester Ducati will be closed tomorrow, there is a concern that those travelling with the intention of joining the ride from there to Parklands may be delayed en-route and miss the start. If possible can folk intending to join Martin and the rest please post up on here tonight so he knows when you are all present.

The plan is to leave at 11:00 prompt, please make yourself known to Martin, he will be riding the Paul Smart Rep. The group is assembling in the rear car park.

I'm sure you had a great send off today and I'm sorry I wasn't able to attend but have been thinking of you today. You've left a great legacy, so many hold you in high regard & rightly so.

Such a kind heart - you always stuck up for me & my fighter !

You will be missed no question

I hope everyone riding back has a safe trip home. I’m positive Geoff would have loved the send off, and be truly touched at all those who had him in their thoughts today.

It’s was lovely to see so many faces I’ve sadly not seen enough of over the years. As is the way with losses such as this it reminds you how short a time we have. I hope to see many of you soon, you all know the area I live in (the precession went past the end of my road pretty much), so I’m only too happy to extend the same hospitality that Geoff would. We have a spare room and a few sofa beds so if anyone needs a place to crash on route to a ferry or anywhere else please drop me a message.

Hope to see many of you again soon, and truly hope we can find a way to honour Geoff in the club for future weekenders.

Geoff would be looking down on us today, smiling with glee.
The service was poignant respectful plus made many of us smile thinking of Geoff.

I agree with the other comments, not the best circumstances to meet friends under, but good to catch up with you guys.
I hope everyone's journey home was uneventful.

Well after quite an emotional day we are home. Early start at 03.30 and home 20.30. 2 hrs sleep last night just to go and give this amazing guy a send off he so deserved given the sadness of his passing.
I really think the occasion he would have smiled and laughed like he always did. I was half expecting to hear him . I still find it hard to realise he is not here as does Barb and im not ashamed to say I had tears whilst hugging her.
I am so glad everyone who could made it and I have no doubt loads more would have if they could have time off.
Thanks for the memories Geoff and so nice to catch up with all again.

Wow!!
What a fantastic send off, we were totally blown away when we pulled out of the estate. We’re pretty sure that Geoff would have been very proud of the turn out and the escort given by his friends.
Even the weather was on our side, if he’d have been around we’re sure he would have loved to have joined in.
Thanks everyone not just for attending but for all the kind words that have been written or spoken over the last few weeks.
Truly appreciated.

I spent a lot of time twisting my way up through the peak district, with a head full of memories.
It just seemed wrong to plod up the motorway on such a day.
Did the same on the way back too.
I'm sure many of us will be taking Geoff with us on a few more miles yet.

The massed attendance was fittingly awesome.
We can all see him grinning now, can't we ?

What a great turn out and a fitting send off to Geoff, I echo all of the above, gone young Geoff, but never,ever forgotten, mr blue sky remains on the weekender playlist forever!

For a microsecond today I almost thought job well done, grass cut front and back and the edges trimmed. On closer inspection the effort wouldn't have passed muster at Desmo Towers - the stripes aren't parallel, the edges on the straight bits are ok but round the curves there's a definite variation in distance between the grass and block paving.

Cutting round corners with a straight tool is my excuse but no doubt a trawl through Geoff's treasure chest of tools in his food hygiene standard garage would have rooted out the perfectly honed Wellsby patented implement for the job.

Another cloudless blue sky today but this time no angels on monsters in leather and chrome swooping down from heaven to carry him home. Gone, but always fondly remembered - ride in peace, Buzzbomb!

I was thinking just the same thing when I mowed my lawn the other day.

I missed the phone call and message on my birthday this year, but I was thinking of Geoff xxx

I have been away & only just seen this. So sad to hear the bad new about Geoff.

I only met Geoff a couple of times at the Lockgate but it was immediately clear that Geoff was a friendly, interesting, knowledgeable & kind hearted guy. Not many like him around.
