S4 No spark ???? - Page 2

The S4 lives and breathes again ,,running sweetly Thansk to P Nan who came round with his mathesis , seems one wire was wrong on CPS cable where i had replaced the damaged connector ,, also new CPs was faulty one that was sorted bike fired up using the DP performance ECU ,,, have not ridden it yet as brakes and cliutch need bleeds and belly pans need fitting have choice of 2 DP or Powerbronze he also replaced all relays but said the old ones are ok as spares and he fitted some new HELLA YFM9RCP-9U Energy Pro spark plugs made in Germany ???? seem good

i can fit the standard ECU and PC3 with the hot custom maps later if I want

he loves the bike says its like new but better with all the mods ..best bit he only charged me £160

reckons a few HISo enthusiasts might offer me good money for it

With P Nans input he is a very knowlegable chap ..
...the HELLA SPARK PLUGS WERE AN EE OPENER

Bike is only charging at 13.3v on power ?? but battery is new so the Yamaha Mosfet RR may be ok ,,,I will monitor it

13.3v at tickover? That's ok but should be around 14v at 4000rpm iirc. Anything over 12v is charging and 13.3v is ok I guess. Keep it on a tender anyway.

took it for test ride today 2 starnge problems a dark dirty minor oil leak old oil , cant see wher eit came from ??? maybe overflow reed valve ???? the engine is full of golden clean oil and speedo not working cable is fine also has new drive unit ????? hmm time for investigations ,, bike runs awesom after 4 year in repairs
