If you are thinking of heading for The Lockgate Cafe it's closed for a refurb from today (Fri 17th August) until next Friday (24th August) so won't be open this weekend.

Looks like the first Sunday in September unless we cobble something together over the Bank Holiday

So the weather on "the island" was pants to be frank, didn't even take the camera some days, not sure if it was sea mist or low cloud, either way it made for some interesting conditions.

Keep an eye on the forecast for the weekend, fingers crossed we can squeeze a ride in somewhere.

Just to remind you it wasn't all bad.

Ok folks, here are some dates for the diary in September, I will send pm's and post on what's app as usual , so here goes,

Sunday 2nd September ..... Monthly meet at the lockgate followed by a ride out weather permitting . Geoff is proposing either lake Vyrnwy or Titlesworth reservoir. Sadly I will miss this but will be thinking of you all whilst drinking estrella next to the pool!

Sunday 9th September........breakfast and a "browse", ( sounds like I am doing a list of events for an old folks home !!!!).... Trip to j & s at delemere for a breakfast and a look around the extensive shop.

Saturday 15th September...... BSB oulton park......Saturday is practice day good atmosphere and only £16.00 at the gate. Race day is Sunday, open to suggestions if Sunday is the choice.

Have a good meet next Sunday, catch up on the 9th,

As Mike has posted there'll be a 10.30am meeting at the Lock Gate this Sunday 2nd followed by a bimble through the Cheshire country side weather permitting.
