Cool

I also did some fettling, made myself a dash mount from carbon composite:

Managed to rig up some power:

And then everything was working with the engine running, and the throttle open a bit:

Shame it doesn't show how loud!!

All I need to do is get the indicators working as I am loosing a lot of power somewhere in the loom! Bugger, electrickery!

They both look great. Shame the tags stand out so much on white for the footrests etc. Gives me inspiration for my café racer though. Great job Yorkie.

I know mate, the plan is to run it for a while then strip it down and cut bits off and re-powdercoat.

Originally it was going to be a race bike style rebuild, but I changed my mind!!! Bugger.

With the kind help of Mark the wiring is complete, all is working well. Waiting for my battery, number plates (one legal, one not so), fuel and then it is hopefully MOT time!!

Cool

Good day to start off with today as I managed to complete the following:

Motobatt fitted
Exhaust wrap sprayed with black heatproof spray (2000 degrees stuff)
Final wiring covered

Then the engine burst into life (not flames).

Just a word of warning for anyone who sprays the exhaust wrap and then has to cook it off ............. do it outside. For just over 30 minutes we had to stand outside Marks unit whilst the fumes drifted out .... doh!

I was just about to roll it off the ramp then noticed the front left fork was weeping/dripping oil. Not a drama, fork out and spare seal fitted, only the spare seal was for a different fork ..... bugger!

Oh well a job for another day. Just trying to find my velcro to secure the number plates then it will be MOT time.

Cool

MOT passed with only two advisories:

1. Open belts

2. Open clutch

Go figure, even with the exhausts booming.

Many thanks to Mark at MADASL for all his time and patience, the custom bits he built yoke, adjustable cams and alloy intakes are all available for purchase from him.

He is even delivering it on Tuesday for me ....... Top bloke.
