Just taken me about 3 hours to plot the route on Google Maps from the meeting point at Brandreth all the way round back to the M55 / M6 junction. Here's what it looks like for any of you (like me) who can't read directions very well.
We're aiming to be at Brandreth Barn for 10.30ish and my mate on the Yammy will be heading out with us but sloping of and back home on the M65 as we go under it and on to Hoghton. Looks a great run and it's going to be a perfect 18C with some sunny spells. See you all tomorrow |

Cheers Mike I hope everyone else enjoyed it. If we go again we can take a less leisurely route to get there and go on one of the longer runs through the forest if people are interested, we only did a corner yesterday

Yes, big thanks to Chris for the ride out , some nice scenery up there. Bad news losing Pezz , maybe we should adopt a 'check your mirrors' policy where each rider checks for the one behind and waits until he catches up. That way no-one can get lost Also wait at a junction if someones lagging so they know to turn off
More good pic's Mike and a nice one of Geoff's winning machine. Good to see Geoff out all day . Looking forward to the next and hoping the weather will be as good . Thanks folks it was a great day out |

The longest day
So folks......good news is it's the longest day on Thursday .......bad news is the nights will start closing in !!! so with the forecast good how about an evening ride out? Ellesmere the suggested destination, meeting points to be confirmed depending on who is up for it.....Steve and I will meet at 18.30, Starbucks on the Chester Rd......it will be a fun change plus......we will be eating somewhere on the way ......what better way could there be of celebrating the longest day.......unless of course you are a Druid ?

Thanks for organising tonight's ride Mike..
Babs said that I should be ashamed at my age for being out on the bike at gone 10pm when most 75 year olds are tucked up in bed.. |

Thanks for the update Mike.
Any chance you can you give me some of the way points so I can see the route? Is it the Starbucks right at the endof the M56? |

Snowdonia,nailed
Gents, what can I say about today...... Steve, what a fantastic ride out, brilliant roads, fantastic weather and it goes without saying fantastic company, thanks for a great day, hope you all got back safe and sound.
So , much reduced turn out, Note to Andy & Annabel...... get your alarm clock sorted !!!! you missed a belter, if you made it to Bala you will know the world and his wife were out today but Steve managed to navigate us through some stunning roads, sweeping bends, great scenery..... even got an afternoon refreshment at Llyn Brenig visitor centre. With this current weather it wont be long before the next Ride out, no pressure but Marc,Andy and Anabell and Pezz....... its your turn to lead a route next So a few pics to remind us of the great summer we are having when it all goes pear shaped, Note to Pezz;- stop stealing the limelight when we stop for group photos !! Until next time folks........ [IMG][/IMG] |

I'm glad that today's rideout went well...
There's no way that I could have ridden that far but I met up with Pete at the usual place and we had breakfast and a jolly good chat... See you soon guys as this weather can't last forever so must make the most of it. Thursday night for chips and fish again... |
