Didn't know the Ohlins forks were a standard fitment? Are those Brembo's not from a later period as well?

Yea, its forks, brakes and wheels are all non standard or upgrades although I do prefer the original wheels to those ones.

Yep as Alan points out wrong forks, wrong calipers and wrong wheels, however the add does say they have a big box of the original parts, still strong money

Yea, and you get all those lovely stickers to peel off too. Ducati Manchester sold one for around 10K a year or so ago.

I never understood why Ducati used those horrible rubber cable wraps on the frame rather than neat, unobtrusive alternatives. Yuk!

All I see is red mirrors and stalks!!
I quite like the original rubber cable wraps, way better than plastic cable ties which really are horrid. RGM have had a variety of original John Bull design rubber cable wraps made and they are rather good actually. Great for much older bikes but okay on a Ducati too. https://www.rgmnorton.co.uk/shop/sea...16&search.y=18

Agreed about the rubber cable tidies. When I had my S2R I tried replacing them with red cable ties but they still didn't look right. Then I discovered that the 1000 Multistrada used these plastic retainers (85040671A), which fitted on small spigots on the inner faces of the frame rails and so were completely invisible. (You thread a regular cable tie through it to secure the wiring.) So, when I had the heads off for the big bore conversion, I drilled the frame where the old rubber ties had been and made substitute spigots from modified pop rivets, which I fitted so the heads were about 2-3mm proud of the frame. The Multistrada retainers then fitted over the rivet heads. It really tidied up the look of the frame, I think. |

Find another one cheaper. Probably too late to be an investment bike as there are only 13 UK registered bikes and most I have seen for sale have been in the 10-14k range but that one is super low mileage. Still probably better than any money in the bank or ISA? You could always buy a Bimota or MV to the same effect and still have change though.
