M600 (M750, M900) aftermarket fly screen
Has anyone fitted an aftermarket screen to an early Monster (1997 M600)? I can't find a genuine Ducati screen to fit this model (did they even exist?) so I have been looking at the Puig Vision Universal. I like the idea of a 2 part screen as I will eventually colour match it to the bike which is yellow. However in some adverts it says it's for 7" headlights and in some it says 8" (or metric equivalent) so not sure if it will fit or not?
Or is there another option people have been using? And are they any use in terms of reduction in air pressure at speed or are they just ornamental? Cheers Jim |

There were several “official” fairings for the early Monsters from associated companies such as Ducati Performance and RoadRacing. If they fit the M900 or M750 they would fit the M600 too. You may have to relocate the front indicators though. Alternatively, the bikini fairing fitted as standard to the Monster in the late 90s can be made to fit if you wanted too.
I had a Ducati Performance fairing on one of mine for a while and the most noticeable effect was that the air blast coming over the headlight hit me in the upper chest and face rather than in the belly!

I've got a Ducati Performance screen, in carbon fibre and similar to the one above only with a higher screen and it stops much of the windblast, admittedly never ridden it without so can't compare before/after.
It also keeps alot of debris off my instruments etc.

Perhaps it's a Monster City screen you want?
No idea what the availability is on these, nor if they need the higher City bars to mount them on? Anyway all the same fitment from 600 through 750,800 and 900. The panniers were a Monster City thing too, made by Mandarina Duck.. Good luck finding a pair of those!

My old M900 had one of those Puig screens on it when I got it. I took it off because I didn't care for the look but it was more effective than the factory fairingette on my current S4R.
In fact, I still have the Puig in the shed if you're interested? |

It was me.. They have been on ever since. I wouldn't be without them now.
Not sure about the high bars and screen though!

I do actually have one of the original type DP carbon cowls for sale., minus screen Well it has been sold but due to Covid lockdown I have not sealed the deal and I can't remember who wanted it but it is in the for sale section. If they no longer want it then it's still available potentially.

I think the original buyer expected me to basically give it to him for 50 quid and pay the postage when the original deal was 50 plus postage. Which admittedly I didn't get back to him the price on because I couldn't get to the post office due to the lockdown, but they usually sell for several hundred pounds. So it should have been a no brainer really!

http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...highlight=cowl IIRC the brackets and screen will cost you a fair bit.
