They are for the wife's 821 and she was quite specific about ASV's. If you have a pic I will show her.

Are you able to e-mail? rmc1967@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks
Rob

She must be one expensive lady! Levers are things that can be bought for peanuts from China, and they are very well made, in my experience.

When you've had ASV everything else just won't cut it. She had some £50 Chinese ones with Ducati on them, they looked ok but they rattled.

Happy wife... happy life

Tell her to go and buy them then! And while she's looking, maybe she could buy you some testicles?

It's not testicles I need, it's ASV's. I take it you have neither to offer so your contribution here is pointless Bob!

One would imagine secondhand might not be a good idea as could be marked etc. Plenty on line.

I can't believe anyone would spend £100 on a single lever! This is just a status thing, yes? Then again, most carbon fibre is simply for looks and bragging rights so I'd better shut up...

Agreed.... indvidually they are very expensive, a pair is better value at circa £170.

Think of it as locking in value and making a quality improvement. When the bike goes they can be sold on and ASV's will normally return over 50% of what they cost new if they are tidy. You buy an expensive Ducati to appreciate it so surely it (and you) deserve quality?

Or you can spend £50 on Chinese junk, not be totally happy and write the value off.

Sorry, I don't remotely accept your description of the Chinese levers as junk, and I currently have them on four bikes. The machining is superb and they function better than the Brembo levers that Ducati felt were appropriate for their expensive quality bikes. Perhaps you were unlucky with the ones you've seen, but mine do what they were designed for, no more, no less, and cause me no unhappiness. (Happy levers: go figure!) No bragging rights, sure, but maybe the money for upmarket levers would be better spent on something like fuel to ride?

Nick,I have no experience of Chinese levers but those rearsets I sold recently were also very nice and compared well with some costing 4 or 5 times as much. I think sometimes buying Chinese can be a bit of a lottery but sometimes it pays off.
