Welcome, Omar. I've had a 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation Monster, (M900, S2R 1000 and 1100 Evo), and they're all great bikes - you're spoilt for choice if you're looking for your first Monster.
As Ron mentioned, If you like the 3rd generation shape, don't forget the 1100S (if you can find one!). There are a few posts here about comparing and contrasting the 1100S and Evo, which might be useful. http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=57576 (posts #10 - #15). The 1100 Evo is a great bike, especially with a few tweaks. If you ride in town or at low speed a lot, you will notice a lot of hunting and surging. Don't let that put you off as it's easily remedied: http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=54450 Of course, if you only ride the open roads, this may not bother you at all. There are so many mods you can do to the 696/796/1100 to make them your own - check here for some examples: http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=55168 Good luck with your search and let us know how you get on. |
