S4r s4rs testastretta radiator wanted
Has anyone got an undamaged/not leaking radiator for above?
Or repairer recommendations. Not accident or stone damage. Leaking from one of the channels in between gills. Thanks. |

i know this sounds like i’m taking the p|ss but have you considered a bottle of ‘radweld’?
i wouldn’t run it through the pump etc, take the radiator off, plug one end and slosh it about with a kettle full of boiling water. many years ago, to my amazement, we bodged a crashed transit van radiator in somerset and got to london leak free on bottle of the stuff my mate had in the glovebox. i suspect it would be near impossible to weld/braze without ending up with a pool of molten scrap. You might be able to solder it if you know a plumber.

I do not know for sure but I suspect that the radiator is aluminium cored not brass or copper therefore normal solder will not work. You could try somebody accustomed to welding aluminium radiators or if you are brave lumiweld (ggogle it), which is a lower temperature aluminium solder

Cheers for replies.
I’d consider rad weld as a last resort. I found some old posts on another forum. It seems my design of radiator has a weak point. When sat on the bike looking forward, just in front of the top hose connection on left side. One chap had one of the channels in the core blanked off at each end. A member on there, CAPO (isn’t he on here aswell?) was in touch with PACEPRODUCTS about having a narrower in width version made. So maybe they can do a better made standard width version. I’ve had a recommendation for www.autocoolradiators.co.uk for a repair. So a few phone calls to be made tomorrow. Not having much luck this year. Been waiting 2 months for lithium battery from the US and they’ve not come through with it. Ended up getting a Shido battery and all good for first run of the year, and now this |

I used a company from the west midlands whose name escapes me, they charged me about £300 including delivery both ways, they re cored the radiator & did a top class job, I would use them again, a new radiator from Ducati was £1100+vat in 2014 (ouch!)

Mark64, could it have been ‘ readyrads’?, this place has been mentioned to me by MOSSLEYMONSTER.
Also was it a curved core on your monster you had replaced for that price? |

I had mine made at BJ radiators in Manchester 0161 799 6210 a couple of years ago , they used the original side panels and replaced core , great job came back land around £400 . Tried second hand but they are impossible to get .

There seems to be quite a choice for repairers.
Spoken to my dad, who said he was at the classic bike show recently and got a card from www.westmuciaradiators.co.uk who had a stand. I’ve spoken to the fella there and will get it posted off. I’ll report back once repaired and received. |

Make sure they put the holes in the rad for the fan mounts (don't ask)

Pace do not recommend using the OEM method of securing the fans via thru bolts. They put tabs on my radiator

Mark64, luckily i did send it complete with the fans, so they’ll be able to save me any misshaps!
Capo, the pace one looks good. The modified fan mounts make sense. What sort of price do Pace charge for a rad? Thanks. |

As far as I can remember around £400.
The core they use is slightly thicker |
