M750 98 oil screen crush washer
I’ve read that it’s 23.23x29.80 mm, if I get a generic m24 that’s 24x30 will that do the job?

You're over thinking this!
Just get half a dozen each, screen and sump plug washers, from Moto Rapido. They're pence and will come the next day.

If they’re pence I’ll get them , but is the postage disproportionately high?

The 10% club discount also helps when spending money with them. If you're bothered why not order a couple of oil or fuel filters at the same time to even out the postage?

Come to think of it I'd get twice as many sump washers as strainer washers, as you check the strainer every other oil change.
You can get a lifetime's supply in a large letter for £1.01. I always shop around for K&N oil filters and Mahle fuel filters.

Suppose I was in a hurry really; I could press a button and order now on eBay or wait for M R to open in a couple of days and phone them.
I’ll phone..... |

Phoned MR; they have a minimum order of £10 but the washer is 23p.....I’ll try the generic ones I think as there’s no other parts I need at the moment......

Did they have them in stock, Billbo? If so, PM me your address and I'll pick up a couple this afternoon and drop them in the last post to you today.

had a mixed box of copper washers and the only one in there that was close on ID was marginally undersized - it seems Ducati use an odd size as the next size up was too big on the OD, so wouldn't fit in the recess.
Being too impatient to wait for a new one, I dremelled the ID of the smaller one to fit.

Pm sent Luddite, many thanks.
Dukedesmo- perhaps it’s an imperial size, why so specific, used to drive me mad when I worked in spares. |

Strangely enough, I now work as a butcher in a supermarket, handling spare ribs....
